William Russell has appointed Paul Hawke as international sales manager.
He joins from Axa Global Healthcare where he was senior global sales manager, having worked at the company since the start of 2005.
Announcing his appointment on LinkedIn, Hawke said: “I’m very pleased to have been given this fantastic opportunity to help grow and further develop the excellent business we have here at William Russell, and while it has only be a few days, the overall operation and future plans are very exciting.”
In a separate post revealing his departure from Axa, Hawke called his time at the firm a “rollercoaster”.
“It’s been a crazy rollercoaster of a journey from starting at Axa PPP running the SME direct sales team through to Axa Global Healthcare travelling to many countries and building some fantastic relationships with key partners,” Hawke said.
“There are too many people to thank over the past 19+ years – for their time, sage advice and support during my journey. You know who you are and I’m sure I will speak to you all over the coming months to thank you personally.
“So goodbye Axa, it’s been emotional.”
Speaking to Health & Protection about his appointment Hawke added: “I’ve been appointed to complement the sales team we already have and to expand the broker operations and broker networks and also to solidify the existing relationships within the territories we are dealing with in the UK, Europe, Africa and grow the business overall.
“My job is that broker relationship. It was at Axa. I did 19 and a half years at Axa and I was very much focused on broker relationships and broker management.”
