Nine in 10 adults now have Covid antibodies across all four countries of the UK.
Last month, Office for National Statistics (ONS) data revealed nine in 10 adults had Covid antibodies in every part of the UK except Scotland.
But the latest ONS data now shows that 92.5% of Scotland’s adults would have tested positive for Covid antibodies in a blood test in the week commencing in the week commencing 12 July, compared with 88.6% in the week commencing 28 June 2021.
In England, it is estimated that 93.6%, of the adult population have Covid antibodies, up from 91.9% at the end of June, followed by Wales at 93.2%, up from 92.6% and Northern Ireland at 90.7%, up from 90.0% at the end of June.
In Wales, 81.4% of 16-24 year olds now have Covid antibodies, compared with 79.8% in England, 78.2% in Scotland and 77.3% in Northern Ireland.
In the next older age group, 95.8% of 25-34 year olds have Covid antibodies in Wales, compared with 94.9% in England, 94.1% in Scotland and 88.8% in Northern Ireland.
