Unum UK has appointed the former chairman of GoCompare Stuart Vann (pictured) as an independent non-executive director.
Vann, who will also take on the role of audit committee chairman, is a qualified accountant with a strong understanding of growth programmes, digital distribution and innovation, data analysis and brand development, the insurer said.
Most recently, CEO of Esure Group, Vann is currently chairman of the remuneration committee at British Gas Insurance and was previously chairman at GoCompare.com.
Mark Till, CEO of Unum UK, said he was delighted to welcome Vann and that his experience and values would benefit the business.
