Canada Life UK has appointed Stuart Robinson as chief financial officer and David Germain as chief information officer.
Robinson (pictured) joins from Aviva where he was most recently interim CEO and managing director of Aviva Equity Release. He had been at the insurer since 2010, holding senior roles in risk, compliance, change and finance.
Germain joins from RSA where he was CIO, group, UK and international and also chaired the firm’s Black Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) committee.
He holds a number of non-executive directorships with the University of Cambridge, Investec and is a board trustee at Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity.
The pair will both join Canada Life in spring 2022 following the respective retirements of Kathryn Bateman and David Bradley.
Commenting on their appointments, Lindsey Rix, CEO at Canada Life, said: “I am thrilled that both Stuart and David will be joining Canada Life next year.
“Their collective expertise and enthusiasm for the markets we operate in as well as an unwavering drive for customer satisfaction will support our ambitious plans in what is a rapidly changing world.
“This is a hugely exciting time to join Canada Life as we complete our transformation agenda and focus on new areas of growth.
“I look forward to welcoming them both to the team.”
