Health & Protection is launching its first IPMI Summit for advisers and intermediaries working in the international private medical insurance sector.
The Summit is the sector’s leading event where key senior figures from the major IPMI adviser and broker firms gather to debate the future direction of the industry.
The two-day event is being held on 4 and 5 May at the exclusive Grove Hotel in Hertfordshire and features high profile speakers from around the globe covering the IPMI sector and the wider business world.
It will examine how the international private medical insurance and healthcare market is responding to the momentous events of the last two years and how it will evolve moving on.
Delegates and speakers will also consider what solutions clients expect and prioritise from their advisers and providers now, and how to maximise business opportunities in the changing world.
Confederation of British Industry (CBI) health director Jordan Cummings will talk about the changing world of work and its demands on international health cover.
Using data and experiences from the CBI and its international partners, Cummings will discuss how vastly the global business landscape has changed and how businesses are changing their requirements for international placements.
Association of British Insurers (ABI) director of general insurance policy James Dalton will be speaking about Brexit – the fallout and its regulatory impact on the insurance industry.
Dalton will be looking at how Brexit has affected the market for insurers and advisers and the raft of regulatory changes which have ensued for firms operating in the sector.
Dubai-based Simon Isgar, partner at BSA Ahmad Bin Hezeem & Associates LLP, will be flying in to give an overview of changes in international health insurance regulations, with a focus on the Middle East.
Representatives from the Association of International Medical Insurance Providers (AIMIP), Association of Medical Insurers and Intermediaries (AMII), Mercer Marsh Benefits and AJ Gallagher are also featuring as presenters and panellists.
