The Harley Street Specialist Hospital (HSSH) is opening a pain management clinic including 14 consultants available to treat specialist areas.
The HSSH pain team comprises doctors and consultant surgeons with the ability to cross-refer within the hospital depending on the specific needs of the patient.
Experts will focus on conservative management and treatment pathways first and work across the board in pain management, orthopaedics and oral maxillo facial.
Treatment will cover a broad range of specific conditions including spinal, headaches, neck pain, pelvic pain, dental, back, shoulder, upper limb, and hand and knee, hip, foot and ankle.
Chief operating officer Marcus Whiteley said: “Pain is prevalent in our times with one third of all adults in the UK suffering with lower back pain.
“Our goal is to assist people in taking action to manage a pain free life with treatment and the correct strategies.”
