A bill to ensure the UK’s financial services industry acts in the interests of everyone was one of the standout announcements in the Queen’s Speech this morning.
Delivering the speech on behalf of the Queen, Prince Charles revealed new legislation will be brought forward to strengthen the UK’s financial services industry which ensures “it continues to act in the interests of all people and communities”.
There was also confirmation of a bill which will enable law inherited from the European Union to be more easily amended following Brexit and a commitment to reform the UK’s data protection regime.
