Pivotal Growth has acquired The Buy to Let Broker for an undisclosed sum as its fourth acquisition, with more deals in the pipeline.

The joint venture between LSL Property Services, which owns the Primis advice network, and Pollen Street Capital was launched last year with its purchases including protection advice firm Grange Mortgage and Protection Services.

Its latest acquisition is the Southport-based specialist buy to let mortgage broker which was founded in 2013 by Matt Hardman and Matthew Rowne.

The acquisition further expands Pivotal Growth’s capability into the specialist buy to let market.

The group, which was launched in April 2021 said it will invest in growing profitable mortgage and protection brokerages and help them build long term sustainable value.

It added it is in active discussions with a number of further opportunities which will build on the momentum of the group’s buy and build strategy, expanding its product set and geographical reach.

Pivotal Growth further revealed that it has no intention of changing The Buy to Let Broker’s branding or its business operations including the people or the location of the business following the acquisition.

Simon Embley, chief executive officer of Pivotal Growth, said: “I am delighted to welcome The Buy to Let Broker into the Pivotal Growth group. This acquisition will provide us with specialist expertise in the buy to let market, further building on our existing specialist broking capabilities.

“Matthew and Matt have built a fantastic business with an excellent reputation, and I am excited to be working with them and their team to continue to deliver first class solutions to landlords.”

Matt Hardman, director of The Buy to Let Broker, said the firm would while continue to scale the business as part of the deal and retain its core values.

“We are without doubt, extremely proud and privileged to be a part of the Pivotal Growth stable,” he added.

“Collaboration has always been at the heart of everything we do – and we very much look forward to working with Simon and the team at Pivotal.”
