Marcia Reid has been appointed non-executive director at independent specialist adviser Sherwood Healthcare.
Reid (pictured) completed a fixed term contract at Partners& as managing partner for wellbeing, engagement and benefits in May.
She will support the continued growth of Sherwood providing guidance on business development and strategy in her new role.
Originally a pharmacist, Reid has experience as a health insurance intermediary and provider. Her other previous industry roles have included national account manager for Bupa UK, head of SME at SimplyHealth and director of corporate consulting at Lorica.
She joined Stackhouse Poland in 2011 as a consultant and became managing director of the health and protection division in 2018, prior to its acquisition by Gallagher in 2019.
There she led a multi-disciplinary team of consultants and administrators supporting large corporate, SME and private clients.
Additionally, she previously led a variety of change management programmes in the public and private sector and has served on the executive of the Association of Medical Insurers and Intermediaries (AMII).
Reid said: “I have known Sherwood’s owner John Crisford for nearly 20 years so I am delighted to be joining Sherwood Healthcare at this exciting time in their development.
Crisford added: “I welcome Marcia to the Sherwood family and I know that the team will benefit from her incredible experience and enthusiasm. I am pleased that we have secured her services and look forward to working with her in the future.”
