Bupa has launched Bupa Family+ – a proposition built around exclusive savings on health insurance for families.

When Bupa Family+ customers insure their eldest child up to the age of 20, any younger children will be covered on the policy for free, making health insurance a more affordable option. This applies even for larger families.

Families also receive a 10% discount on new Bupa By You Comprehensive and Treatment and Care policies that can be purchased through an intermediary, online or over the phone.

The proposition also includes extensive mental health support, including cover for more conditions, ongoing support for longer term conditions and support through its Family Mental HealthLine.

Bupa’s cover also includes cancer care for the whole family, and round-the-clock support from Bupa’s extra services. Customers can access same day GP appointments and speak to a nurse on the phone at all hours of the day.

Bupa Family+ includes:

  • Extensive mental health cover which includes ongoing support, no time limits and coverage for a range of conditions
  • Family Mental HealthLine support from trained advisers and mental health nurses
  • Cancer cover at every stage from diagnosis to treatment
  • Parent overnight stays if a child needs to spend the night in hospital
  • Further education cover for students up to the age of 24
  • Bupa Blua Health which lets customers talk to a doctor, nurse, pharmacist, physiotherapist or mental health nurse by video or phone call, day or night
  • Anytime HealthLine for health advice from a trained nurse, available to call day or night

Richard Glassborow, consumer director at Bupa UK Insurance, said: “The past few years has made family health a top priority.

“With Bupa Family+, parents and carers can find added peace of mind knowing they’ll be supported for both the everyday and critical healthcare concerns.

“This latest proposition aligns to our strategic ambition of being the UK’s leading health and wellbeing brand – and we want to be the number one choice for families.

“It also supports intermediaries to showcase the comprehensive support we provide for their clients.”
