Aston Lark and A-Plan, which were previously taken over by Howden, have today both rebranded to the Howden name.

Aston Lark was acquired by Howden, the international insurance broking group, in 2022, in a deal that cost £730m.

Howden said “one of the reasons Aston Lark and Howden are such a good fit, is our shared value of care – care for our clients, the community, and our employees. Together, we have created a standout full-service broker, unrivalled in its quality, scale and reach in the UK and Ireland.

“Rest assured, the same dedicated team of people who have delivered high-quality support and advice to enable you to achieve your goals will continue to do so.

“And we’re excited about the opportunity to deliver even better outcomes for you as Howden.

A similar statement was released by A-Plan, which was acquired by Howden in October 2020.

Kelly Ogley, CEO of A-Plan said: “Two years ago we joined the Howden Group.

“Like A-Plan, Howden is a British business that takes a no limits approach to delighting and caring for its clients. It was founded by David Howden and two of his friends in London in 1994.

“When we joined the Howden family, we said we would change our name when the time was right. Now is that time, and I’m excited to announce Howden will be the new name for A-Plan from the beginning of October.

“That’s the only thing that is changing. The people that have looked after you will continue to do so from within our local communities.

“We will continue to open new branches, add to our product range, so we can look after everything that is important to you, and be part of our local communities with more local initiatives.”
