Howden has appointed Richard Leadon as a senior consultant on its benefits and wellbeing international team.

Leadon has more than 20 years of experience in the international healthcare market.

He joins Howden from Aetna and will advise SME and corporate clients on their international healthcare needs.

Leadon was at Aetna for more than 10 years, leaving as head of large corporate retention last month. He started at the company in 2013 as a customer service manager.

Prior to that Leadon worked at Axa for 13 years, leaving as a premier client manager.

Adam Harding, divisional director of international benefits at Howden said: ‘’We’re delighted to welcome Richard to the team.

“His extensive experience and vast knowledge of International PMI will ensure that we can continue to share the latest insights and market trends with clients to help them get the right healthcare cover in place, wherever in the world their staff are located.

‘’We’re seeing growing numbers of companies return to global mobility programmes. Ensuring that they have the information, advice and right benefits in place to make their overseas assignments a success – for both the business and employees moving abroad – is vital.

“Richard is a great addition to our expert team.’’

Leadon commented on his new role via LinkedIn. “I’m super happy to share that I start my new role today as senior consultant international, Howden Employee Benefits & Wellbeing Ltd,” he said.

“New year, new job, new challenges.”
