HealthHero has appointed Brandon Collins to the newly created role of commercial director.
Speaking to Health & Protection about his new role, Collins (pictured) revealed he has been brought on board to help shape and deliver growth for the company in the ever increasing and demanding world of digital healthcare.
“Skyrocketing demand, limited clinical capacity and tight budgets have put a real squeeze on healthcare,” Collins explained.
“It’s frustrating for patients and tough on providers. We’re here to change that.
“By using the latest digital tools we’re joining up a fragmented ecosystem to move the entire health sector forward, whether on the physical or mental health side. And whether a corporate customer, medical or group risk insurer, or provider of other health related services, we can support their clients.
“This may be via a virtual GP service, employee assistance programme (EAP) or other related additional services through a pool of dieticians, physiotherapists, wellbeing coaches, speech and language therapists, clinical psychologists, psychotherapists,” he said.
Elaborating on why he has joined HealthHero, the former MD of PAM Wellbeing and Health Assured sales director described his new employer as the “ideal home.”
“I am a proven performer within the healthcare sales arena with over 30 years’ experience of selling for large corporate organisations as well growing two start-up EAP and occupational health businesses through to their eventual sale – these being corporate support to PPC (later purchased by Optum), and then Health Assured to Peninsula business services,” Collins continued.
Collins added he has also built up an “in depth understanding and knowledge” of the medical insurance market, providers, brokers, group risk and private medical insurance over his career as well as experience of seeking and developing new business channels for occupational health and employee assistance programmes (EAPS).
Looking to the future, Collins said he has a ‘day one’ objective to understand the full scope of potential the virtual healthcare and wellbeing service provider has to offer, and then to expand its existing client relationships and add new client logos.
“HealthHero have successfully integrated seven business over the last five years to build a compelling set of whole health based propositions,” Collins said.
“I am excited to be a part of the team that is continuing evolution of propositions from episodic care to planned care by using the digital tools and clinical services within the HealthHero portfolio.”
