Vikki Jefferies is joining Legal & General Retail as market development director leaving Primis network after more than six years as proposition director.
Jefferies is being appointed following the announcement of L&G Retail head of intermediary development Jeff Woods’ retirement in July.
Jefferies will start at the insurer on 1 August and will lead strategy to grow its presence and influence in the intermediated market, working closely with partners, distributors, and advisers, the insurer said.
She will focus on proposition developments including the high value, business protection, and core distribution propositions and will report directly to managing director of distribution Ali Crossley.
Jefferies has more than 25 years of experience with 11 years at Personal Touch Financial Services before it was taken over by Primis.
Prior to that Jefferies spent 15 years at Endsleigh Insurance contributing in a variety of roles from sales management, business development and product design.
Woods has spent almost 30 years in the financial services industry and joined L&G as head of intermediary development three years ago.
Prior to that he had five years at Sesame Bankhall Group as campaigns and proposition director and business development director.
Other senior leadership roles include national accounts director at Vitality Life and business development director positions at Pink Home Loans and Linear Mortgage Network and as franchise director at PruProtect Consulting.
