Mortgage and protection specialist Just Mortgages has appointed Grant MacKay as sales manager within its self-employed division in Scotland.
Motherwell-based MacKay (pictured) will be working closely with 25 self-employed advisers across Scotland and the North East of England and will aim to use his nearly 15 years of experience to help advisers increase their skills and grow their businesses.
He began his career with HSBC in 2010, working in its telephony division to support customer service queries.
Following time spent in a training role supporting new team members, he moved into mortgages with HSBC as assistant manager and later team manager. In 2014, he completed his CII qualification and became an adviser.
MacKay would subsequently join Carrington Mortgage Services as a mortgage and protection adviser, before moving to firstmortgages.co.uk, where he was most recently sales quality manager.
MacKay said: “Just Mortgages has always been on my radar with its strong brand and presence in the market.
“When I saw this opportunity come up, it really ticked all the boxes for me. I’m excited to join the team and to use my expertise to support brokers across the region and help build the Just Mortgages brand further in Scotland.
