Unum UK’s Help@hand digital health and wellbeing app has seen a 91% increase in registrations over the last 12 months, compared to the previous year.
Within the same period, user interactions rose 266% with the majority (53%) of these interactions for practical life management services.
The provider said more than 335,000 users had registered for the app since its launch in 2019.
In the 12 months since July 2023, 138,243 consultations were booked, with 42% being remote GP appointments, while 40% related to mental health.
John Hyde, chief marketing officer at Unum UK, said: “We’ve seen employee engagement rise significantly in the past year, but interestingly over half of these interactions with the app were for other valued non-medical services, such as getting practical support through the 24/7 helpline.
“As we mark Help@hand’s five-year anniversary, we look forward to building on its success, expanding the service and delivering even better care for our clients and their employees.”
