Ben Jones has been promoted to the role of head of product at ActiveQuote, joining the senior management team with immediate effect.
Jones (pictured centre) joined ActiveQuote on the 2 February 2015, which was also the first day of opening for its Global Reach offices in Cardiff Bay.
His first role at ActiveQuote was as sales team lead. He was most recently the senior product manager from July 2022 until today’s appointment.
Before ActiveQuote, Jones was employed by Sky in what was predominantly a customer service role.
Rod Jones, who was himself promoted to ActiveQuote chief operations officer following Howden’s acquisition of ActiveQuote last week, said on LinkedIn: “Since day one Ben has given his all to the business initially as a sales adviser, then progressing to team leader and sales management before moving on to insurer relationships in 2021.
“The relationship Ben has developed with insurers over the past few years has been instrumental in helping ActiveQuote to get ASU policies back on panel following their withdrawal during the Covid pandemic.
“Ben’s understanding of customer needs, insurer risk and our distribution partners means that he’s brought a sustainable ASU comparison service back to ActiveQuote.
“I look forward to working closely with Ben going forward as ActiveQuote continue to deliver and enhance its customer service proposition as we enter an exciting new chapter as part of the Howden Group.
Jones responded on LinkedIn and said: “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as head of product at ActiveQuote.”
In another LinkedIn post he said: “Thanks for your kind words Rod Jones, looking forward to it and working with you closely again.
“Excited by what the future holds now being part of the Howden group and taking the business to the next level.”
