Price comparison website MoneySupermarket has launched an online life insurance service in collaboration with protection adviser LifeSearch.
The service offers a range of life insurance products including critical illness cover, whole of life, family income benefit and business life insurance, all with the choice of fee-free advice.
Initially, the online journey proposition will be supported by six insurers – HSBC, Legal & General, LV=, QuoteMeHappy, Royal London and Vitality.
The partnership features an online buy now experience powered by LifeSearch and once a customer receives a quote, they can choose to buy now through MoneySupermarket and be covered in less than six minutes, the firm said.
For those who prefer more personalised support, LifeSearch’s advisers are available to help by phone.
MoneySupermarket said that it had collaborated closely with LifeSearch to design a more intuitive customer experience.
New question sets provide faster quotes and a streamlined application process while it added that advanced technology supports customers through their online journey with clear and prompt guidance.
If additional information is needed, it is requested through reflexive questions.
If a customer’s information indicates that a buy now journey is not suitable, they are directed to alternatives – including fee-free advice and assistance from LifeSearch’s team.
Customers can also opt to speak to LifeSearch at any point in the journey if they prefer.
Debbie Kennedy, CEO of LifeSearch (pictured), said: “We’re delighted to have extended our long-standing partnership with MoneySupermarket and help co-create their brand-new life insurance service.”
Sara Newell, commercial director at MONY Group, parent company of MoneySupermarket, said the firm was excited to introduce its new life insurance service.
