MetLife UK has promoted Adrian Matthews and Rich Horner to UK deputy general manager and head of transformation and change initiative respectively.
Horner (pictured left) has been head of individual protection since the summer of 2017, having joined MetLife UK in June 2010 as a business development manager for financial institutions.
Matthews (pictured right) was appointed MetLife UK’s head of employee benefits for UK and Europe at the start of last year and joined the company as a chief finance officer from Capita Life & Pensions where he was a finance director in May 2011.
The provider said the duo’s move into these new strategic roles reflected its “ambitious” growth and transformation plans.
The pair, who will continue with their current responsibilities until successors have been found, report to UK CEO Dominic Grinstead.
A MetLife UK spokesperson told Health & Protection: “These appointments are part of the investment we are making into the business, to focus on accelerating our growth and embracing transformative change that allow us to continue our commitment to innovation and collaboration, and deliver value for our customers.
“As we transition to this new exciting structure, Adrian and Rich will continue to oversee their current roles until their successors are announced.”
