Insured Nomads has launched a direct-to-consumer international private medical insurance (IPMI) plan through the Doescircle 135,000 strong membership network.
The product has been designed for freelancers, independent contractors, entrepreneurs and the small to medium size business sector, and is underwritten by Allianz Partners.
It offers $250,000 worth of coverage worldwide but excludes the USA and sanctioned countries. Coverage can move with workers across borders if needed.
There is no minimum company size while contractors and dependants can be included.
Outpatient coverage is included for cancer treatment, kidney dialysis and HIV or AIDS treatment.
Premiums start from £60 per month, no co-payment is required for claims and the last entry age is 65 with no plan expiry age.
Unlimited telemedicine consults with a physician, unlimited therapy sessions, unlimited Priority Pass airport lounge access, and Global Nomad Pass membership are included in the cover.
However there are optional add-ons for outpatient, dental and maternity riders.
Insured Nomads is the second IPMI provider to offer services through Doerscircle, following April International whose product is underwritten by Liberty Mutual and offers either SG$2m or SG$4m cover options (approximately US$1.47m or US$2.95m at current exchange rates).
Dynamic global workforce
“By combining resources, the initiative aims to provide independent workers with much needed security as they navigate the challenges of a dynamic global workforce,” Insured Nomads said.
Members can sign up for the health insurance plans through a digital platform with regional or global coverage included.

“Flexible talent needs basic security as they move between engagements. Through Insured Nomads, we’re now making available enterprise level health coverage to every independent doer.”
