The Exeter has appointed Kim Powell as national key account manager for health.

Powell (pictured) joins from ActiveQuote where she was partnerships manager and where she spent almost 11 years also working in renewals and retention and as a consultant.

Back in November 2024, Health & Protection revealed Powell would be leaving ActiveQuote after 11 years with the advice firm.

Karen Woodley, head of healthcare distribution at The Exeter, said: “It’s been a pleasure to work closely with Kim in recent years as she’s developed in her career, and I know she’ll be a great asset to our team at The Exeter.

“She brings a wealth of healthcare knowledge and her most recent role as partnerships manager at Activequote has given her great experience in working collaboratively with not only healthcare insurers but with people across our industry.”

Powell added: “I’ve always admired how The Exeter is focused on the best customer outcomes, and I’m delighted to be joining the team.

“After over a decade working on the broker side of the market, I’m looking forward to working with Karen and the team to continue educating people about the benefits of health insurance and the important role The Exeter plays in a market that continues to experience high consumer demand for its products and services.”

ActiveQuote was acquired by Howden in August 2024.
