HCML has appointed Carolyn Derrington (pictured) as head of healthcare trusts.

Derrington’s career in corporate health spans more than 35 years.

Up until March last year she was at Bupa where she spent ten years in a variety of roles including head of large corporate client management, overseeing client and intermediary account management teams.

Before this, she was business development manager at Nuffield Health and head of business development at Aviva for eight years.

Her new role will see her take charge of building and developing HCML’s trust proposition within the corporate health and wellbeing solutions to the corporate market. She will work with the business development team to oversee the operational management of the trusts.

James Murray, CEO at HCML, said: “Carolyn brings a broad knowledge of the corporate health market and is perfectly placed to support our business growth.

“Our new differentiated trust proposition is a core pillar in our corporate health and wellbeing strategy and a key component of our growth as we move forward. Carolyn will work with the business development team to help expand our client base and to grow our presence in the market.”

Derrington added she was delighted to and take the lead with the proposition.
