April International has agreed a deal for Abu Dhabi-based Hayah to offer a new range of health insurance and international private medical insurance (IPMI) products in the UAE.

Through the partnership, life insurer Hayah will offer health coverage for individuals, families and business, both locally and internationally.

The IPMI product, which is already available in Dubai, is designed for the country’s large expatriate community and will be extended to other locations in the region.

Mohamed Seghir, CEO of Hayah, said: “Hayah is proud to partner with April to bring cutting-edge, digital-first health insurance solutions to the UAE.

As a Lyon native, Seghir said it was “a privilege to collaborate with a company that shares my hometown roots.“

Romain Di Meglio, head of IPMI, Asia and the Middle East, April Group, said: “Hayah’s commitment to innovation and customer-centric solutions complements April’s mission to simplify health insurance for everyone.”

Last week Health & Protection exclusively revealed that April International is set to buy some or all of the Now Health International IPMI business.
