The Association of Medical Insurers and Intermediaries (AMII) has appointed Liam Kennedy, director of key accounts at Vitality, as vice chairman.
He succeeds Claire Ginnelly who stepped down last month after 13 years in the role.
After being an executive of AMII for several years, Kennedy (pictured) has also been involved in various strategic initiatives.
Kennedy has been leading development of its recently launched training academy, which aims to provide education and professional development opportunities for health insurance intermediaries through their e-learning platform
Kennedy said: “Having been involved with the association for several years, I know the incredible role AMII plays in our industry. I’m particularly proud of our progress with the training academy, and I look forward to continuing to drive initiatives that support and develop our sector.”
Dave Middleton, executive chairman of AMII, said: “Liam’s appointment is a natural progression given his outstanding contribution to AMII over the years. With his extensive sector knowledge and leading role in developing our training academy, I am confident Liam will excel in his new position.”
