Zurich has added virtual physiotherapy, dietitian and nutrition services and a symptom checker to its ZGP24 service for group protection customers.
The new services are available for all Zurich group protection customers and their employees from today and will be delivered by HealthHero.
Zurich said employees can access the virtual physiotherapist service to help manage their musculoskeletal health through 30-minute virtual sessions.
Individuals recovering from injuries or aches can access specialist care through tailored exercise plans and mobility guidance.
The dietitian and nutrition service provides personalised consultations reviewing nutrition, lifestyle, and medical history offering guidance to help people achieve their goals, the insurer added.
For the symptom checker, Zurich said individuals answer a few questions online and receive recommendations for next steps, so they know where to source the right care.
Nick Homer, head of market management at Zurich, said: “We recognise that workplace wellbeing is essential to building resilient businesses and thriving individuals.
“We want to provide much more than traditional insurance, it’s about creating a culture where health support is preventative, accessible, and empowering. By working together, we’re helping employers provide their employees with the tools they need to stay healthy, productive, and engaged.”
Zurich launched its ZGP24 service with HealthHero in 2021.
Aseem Sadana, CEO of HealthHero UK and Ireland, added: “We’re delighted to expand our partnership with Zurich to include physiotherapy and dietician support alongside GP services.
“Making it easier for employees to access timely MSK and dietary support helps people feel better, stay active and perform at their best, which ultimately supports healthier, more productive workplaces.”
