SM Advice has launched a service to support advisers aiming to complete the Cyber Essentials certification.
The service is designed specifically for sole traders and small advisory practices, helping them achieve Cyber Essentials certification.
Cyber Essentials is the minimum standard of cyber security recommended by the government’s National Cyber Security Centre for organisations of all sizes.
The firm said Cyber Essentials certification is increasingly important for advisory firms, demonstrating a clear commitment to protecting client data and meeting basic cyber security standards.
However, it added for smaller firms without dedicated IT support, the process can feel daunting and easily slip down the to-do list.
Christopher Miles, managing director of SM Advice Limited, (pictured) said: “We work with advisers every day and hear the same frustrations time and again – cyber security is important, but it’s complex, time-consuming and often intimidating, especially for sole traders and small practices.
“The jargon-free service guides advisers through the process step by step, in plain English, so they can gain certification with confidence and without taking time away from their clients.”
The firm said the new service aimed to reflect SM Advice’s broader mission to support the adviser community with solutions that go beyond marketing and engagement.
