ActiveQuote has rejoined the Association of Medical Insurers and Intermediaries (AMII) and highlighted a significant increase in the number of enquiries it is receiveing.
The Cardiff-based price comparison and intermediary to the UK individual health and protection market was founded in 2009 by technology entrepreneur Dr Richard Theo and employs more than 140 people.
The organisation won both the Best Individual Healthcare Advice Firm and Best Individual Protection Advice Firm titles at the 2022 UK Health & Protection Awards.
Rob Saunders, CEO of ActiveQuote said: “Being part of AMII allows us to connect more broadly with the wider health and wellbeing marketplace, get closer to emerging trends and innovation in the wider NHS and private healthcare systems and be a voice for those customers buying individual health insurance in the UK.
“Enquires in January were 51% higher than the volume we saw in 2022 and 118% higher than the same period in 2020.
“The individual marketplace is a significantly different place to what it was pre-pandemic so being able to ensure that this voice is heard among the wider marketplace is important as we all adapt to the changing landscape of the UK healthcare system.”
AMII has 135 members after welcoming 16 new intermediaries and four new corporates in 2022.
