Alan Fergusson is stepping down as global employment benefits practice leader at the Worldwide Broker Network (WBN) after a decade of being involved with the organisation.

His 25 years in the employee benefits industry also includes four years at Mattioli Woods as managing director of employee benefits.

He previously spent 16 years at Kudos Financial Services concluding as employee benefits director, before moving to Mattioli Woods.

Fergusson (pictured) first joined WBN in April 2014, beginning a four-year stint on the members board of directors which ended in 2018.

He rejoined WBN in May 2019 as director of employee benefits and was appointed global employee benefits practice leader at the end of 2021.

Revealing his departure on LinkedIn, Fergusson thanked the organisation’s president Brian Hetherington and CEO Olga Collins for their support and leadership as well as a number of past presidents and colleagues.

“After over a decade of association as member, board member, consultant and employee, I’ve made the very difficult decision to move on from WBN,” he said.

“This is a heartfelt thank you to many people who have made that the journey that it was.”

He added that his next move would be announced later in the week.

Health & Protection contacted Fergusson for comment.
