Alea hires Lasaygues as head of Europe following Paris office opening

Alea has appointed Eric Lasaygues as head of Europe following the firm’s securing of a new French broker license (ORIAS registration) and the opening of its new Paris office.

Based in Paris, Lasaygues (pictured) will lead Alea’s European operations, focusing on business development and strategic partnerships, and bridging the gap between Europe and Asia for globally mobile professionals, families, entrepreneurs and SMEs.

Lasaygues has 30 years of international experience in finance, actuarial science, partnerships and insurance brokerage.

After leading teams in France, Japan, Argentina and Italy at BNP Paribas Cardif, he co-founded and developed the international network of the brokerage firm CBP between 2007 and 2018, in Europe and South-East Asia.

Previously deputy CEO at Kereis between 2021 and 2024, in charge of European teams, he also served as a member of the executive committee of CNP Assurances during its capital tie-up with La Banque Postale.

Amelie Dionne-Charest, co-founder and CEO of Alea, said: “Eric’s deep industry knowledge, international experience and proven track record make him the ideal leader to accelerate in Europe.

“His appointment is a clear signal of our ambition: we are building a world-class team, to redefine the standard of international mobility and insurance advice.”

Lasaygues added: “Alea has built an incredible reputation in Asia for blending digital agility with genuine human expertise.

“I am thrilled to join Alea at this pivotal moment, leveraging my experience to deepen partnerships and provide European clients with the sophisticated, transparent insurance solutions they deserve.”
