US health insurer Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota has appointed Jasmine Jirele and Jim Pekarek to its board of trustees.
Jirele (pictured) is the president and CEO of Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America and Pekarek is the executive vice president and chief financial officer at Agiliti, a Minneapolis-based medical equipment and health care company.
Dana Erickson, president and CEO of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, said: “Our board of directors is well-positioned to enable our strategic priorities with the addition of these two leaders, both of whom are well known and widely respected for their business acumen and community service.
“Jasmine and Jim bring exceptional skills and experience to our governance structure, with a shared commitment for advancing the health and wellbeing of all through our not-for-profit mission.”
