The Association of Medical Insurers and Intermediaries (AMII) has appointed UKGI as compliance consultants and revealed details of a new PMI comparison tool set to launch this Spring.
UKGI completed a successful tender for the business after Branko Bjelobaba of Branko Ltd exited the role. Bjelobaba’s departure was revealed at AMII’s 2023 Annual Summit in November last year.
AMII also announced it is to launch a new private medical insurance comparison tool at its Spring Health and Wellbeing Summit on 22 May at The National Conference Centre and National Motorcycle Museum in Solihull.
UKGI is an insurance industry compliance solutions provider specialising in delivering consultancy and training services.
In its latest newsletter update to members AMII executive chairman David Middleton (pictured) said UKGI was “very much” looking to build proactive relationships with its membership and would be offering several additional member benefits such as access to templates and toolkits for common compliance questions.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Branko Bjelobaba of Branko Ltd who has provided the compliance service to our members since insurance regulation began and wish him well as we start on the journey with UKGI as our compliance partner,” Middleton continued.
“We welcome Richard McKenzie, CEO at UKGI, and his team, and I know he is looking forward to working with our members and meeting as many of you as possible at the Spring Summit.”
McKenzie said: “We are looking forward to working with AMII members to provide support and tailored solutions as well as standard toolkit which will provide answers to common questions.
“Our work is more than just compliance. The impact of our work is far-reaching and provides a significant contribution to the regulated and consumer markets.
“The AMII membership is diverse and we will be fostering a very proactive relationship with all members. We want to work with them to understand their differing needs and requirements. We are looking forward to meeting lots of the members at AMII’s spring summit in May.”
Expanding on the impending launch of its new PMI comparison tool, AMII executive vice chairwoman Claire Ginnelly said the organisation is working with Tendr who provide tech solutions to brokers and benefit platforms, and already work with some of the association’s members supporting their businesses.
The data for the portal comes from The PMI Handbook produced by Craigdallie Publishing and Andrew Green of Craigdallie who has been working with Tendr for just over a year.
AMII said the portal will allow member firms to conduct comparisons of consumer and SME and PMI products to navigate system and will carry AMII branding.
Members will be able to download the comparisons in excel or PDF format.
