Aon Cayman has appointed Geoff Thompson as vice president, employee benefits, with Thompson moving to the Caribbean after leaving Vitality.

Thompson (pictured centre picking up a Health & Protection Award in 2021 for Health Shield) has more than 20 years of experience in the employee benefits and wellbeing sector, with a background in healthcare, group risk, and strategic consulting.

He was previously business development manager at Vitality, strategic development manager Health Shield Friendly Society, and was a senior consultant at Willis Towers Watson earlier in his career.

In his new role, he reports to director Gillian Wellon and will be responsible for supporting a portfolio of clients across sectors including hospitality and tourism, aviation, education, healthcare, trust, insurance, property, religious, and retail.

The Cayman team currently supports more than 140 commercial clients across the islands and broader Caribbean.

Wellon said: “Geoff’s appointment marks an exciting step forward for our employee benefits team.

“His depth of experience and client-first approach align perfectly with our commitment to delivering exceptional service and strategic value to our clients.”
