April International has appointed Marie Modini as country manager in Switzerland.
In the role she will oversee the development of international health business and joins April International’s European team, which already supports several thousand broker partners and hundreds of thousands of expatriates from France, the UK, Germany, Belgium and Switzerland.
Modini previously worked at SIP Medical Family Office as head of business development, based in Zurich, from April 2022 to October 2023.
In September of that year, SIP expanded her role as head of business development to include the UK market.
Prior to that, Modini worked as head of sales at Advisory Services Network (ASN), also in Zurich, from May 2019 to April 2022.
In that role she managed the new business team and worked on the development and execution of special projects. She started there in 2018 as an international insurance consultant, before moving on to the position of head of sales for private clients.
Prior to that, Modini’s industry experience included two years as relationship manager at Banque Cantonale Vaudoise in Switzerland.
Other roles before that included positions in the US, Australia and Hong Kong.
“After a career abroad that took her to live and work in Asia, Australia and the United States for almost 10 years, Marie used her mastery of international business environments and her expatriate experience to develop an expertise in international health insurance. With several experiences with major brokers in Switzerland over the last 5 years, Marie has a strong network in the Swiss market and solid business development skills,” April said.
Modini said via LinkedIn: “I am thrilled to announce that I have joined the April International group as their head of Switzerland.
“I am honoured to be part of this forward-thinking organisation, known for its commitment to innovation and excellence in the international insurance industry.
“Together with the amazing team of Antae and April International, we will be working hard to serve our clients and partners.
