Aviva has revamped its digital platform as it aims to improve online quoting for new SME group protection business.

The Fusion platform replaces the previous Aviva Group Protection Online (AGPOL) platform and includes changes made to existing business policy management on AGPOL earlier this year.

Real-time quotes without a wait and the ability to quote for Limited Liability Partnerships have been enabled in the new platform.

Advisers will no longer have to upload data via challenging CSV files, integration with Companies House will help to verify clients and pre-populate information and the platform includes tips and guidance.

Aviva said in addition to new business quoting, the platform also supports advisers in the management of the full policy lifecycle through a single log-in.

Advisers can manage self-service renewals for 3-250 lives while for schemes with more than 250 lives, they can start the renewal process by uploading member data.

Scheme history reports and rate reviews for all scheme sizes can also be initiated.

The insurer said it had been developed following detailed research, feedback and testing with advisers and featured smarter technology for new business quoting for schemes with 3-250 lives.

Jason Ellis, group risk distribution director at Aviva, (pictured) said: “This is a significant investment in our new business journey for advisers, and their feedback has been invaluable in helping us understand what they really value and need.

“Ultimately, Aviva Fusion will greatly reduce the administrative burden on advisers so that they will have more time to support their clients.”
