Axa Health has appointed Mel Barnard as director of risk, governance and conduct. She will also sit on the Axa Health executive committee.
She will take up her new role on Monday 14 July.
Barnard (pictured) has more than 20 years’ experience in financial services including most recently as head of first line risk at Direct Line Group, as well as previous roles as head of conduct and controls at Hiscox and head of governance, complaints and operational change at Zurich.
In her role at Axa Health, Barnard will work on identifying and mitigating risk while delivering for the business and its customers.
She will also lead the team to manage the identification and evaluation of key risks, while working on continued compliance with regulations.
