Axa Health expands online services into cardiology, urology and neurology

Axa Health has launched digital outpatient services in cardiology, urology and neurology.

This expands the insurer’s existing digital services, which include specialist-led support for digestive health, dermatology and muscles, bones and joints.

These conditions represent a significant proportion of Axa Health’s claims and the digital services are designed to provide expert-led guidance and diagnosis.

Adults who have a referral from their GP can access these specialist assessments online which will be reviewed by a qualified consultant. The aim is then to deliver guidance within three working days.

These services will be delivered by HBSUK, an online outpatient service provider that is part of the Axa Group.

Heather Smith, Axa Health’s chief executive (pictured), said it can be worrying when you’re facing health concerns and aren’t sure what to do next.

“By expanding our online outpatient services, we are expanding access to high-demand specialties and making co-ordinated, specialist support available to our members when they need it most.

“The introduction of our digestive and dermatology online outpatient services has been really successful and, recognising the growing need for support across neurology, cardiology and urology, we’ve strengthened that offering.

“Our team is committed to combining quick access to the healthcare our members need, with empathy, kindness and real human connection, so that they feel heard, supported and reassured at every step of their healthcare journey.

“I’m so glad we’ve been able to bring these new online outpatient services to life — together, we’re building Cover that Cares for our members today and for the future.”
