Anne Lepetit has joined Axa Business Health as global chief medical officer.
She took up the role in April but only announced the news on LinkedIn on Monday.
Lepetit joined from Bupa, where she spent more than two years as chief medical officer until February.
Prior to that she was Allianz Partners’ group chief medical officer for five years and three months.
She also held various roles in a five-year stint at Henner Group, ultimately becoming health director in Paris.
A new chapter
At Axa, Lepetit responsibilities will include ensuring robust clinical governance, quality and patient safety frameworks.
She will also provide clinical oversight through data-driven performance monitoring, develop evidence-based clinical pathways and service standards and advise on medical innovation and emerging therapies.
“Since my early years as an emergency physician, one conviction has guided my career: healthcare transformation only matters if it leads to better care and better outcomes for patients,” Lepetit wrote on LinkedIn.
“That starts with improving the care journey for both patients and the clinicians who deliver the care every day.
“This is the conviction I now want to bring to Axa, as the group continues its transformation from a traditional health insurer into a true health partner, with more than 80 healthcare facilities worldwide.”
