Axa Health has appointed Dr Corné Hurter as medical director for services and delivery.

Dr Hunter (pictured) joins from HCA UK where she has worked since 2016, in roles such as medical director for care transformation and director of medical services.

She will succeed Dr Pallavi Bradshaw on a full-time basis from March. Dr Peter Mills took the role on an interim basis in December.

Dr Hunter joins the Axa Health commercial team’s senior leadership and reports to Dr Ali Hasan, commercial director.

She said: “I am passionate about patient care and innovation that supports care delivery to patients in a manner which is sustainable and value driven.

“I am looking forward to joining the Axa Health team and using my experience to make a real difference to members and the service we provide.”

Dr Hasan added: “I’m delighted that Corné will be joining us in March in this new role.

“I’m confident that her rich and extensive experience in healthcare delivery and management, across a range of different institutions, will be a real addition to our team and will help us deliver our strategy and provide a great service to our members.”
