Axa Health relaunches EAP with Spectrum.Life and maintains pricing

Axa Health has relaunched its employee assistance programme (EAP) and workplace wellbeing services through Spectrum.Life, replacing its previous in-house service with an affiliate network.

The insurer also told Health & Protection that all current prices for the services have remained in place.

Two versions of the EAP are available – essential and premier – with only the premier version including between five and eight counselling sessions.

The essential version is priced between £3.20 and £4.50 per employee per year, with the premier edition ranging between £7.50 and £8.70.

Health assessments and coaching

New services include remote health assessments and the roll-out of mental wellbeing coaching.

The insurer added that enhancements to existing services included:

“Axa, through its Laya Healthcare business in Ireland, has considerable experience of working with Spectrum.Life to deliver clinically-backed, accessible care,” it told Health & Protection.

“All of these offerings, plus our new health score assessment, are backed with support via app and online for whole of workforce.

“The new support and services place an increased emphasis on the proactive steps employees can take to better understand and manage their wellbeing.”

The Axa Health app and website platforms are available to the insurers corporate EAP and wellbeing programme clients, as well as private medical and health trust clients.

Axa Health CEO Heather Smith said the new service placed increased emphasis on the proactive steps employees can take to better understand and manage their wellbeing.

Spectrum.Life CEO and co-founder Stephen Costello added the arrangement marked a significant milestone in its mission and the organisations were focused on providing long-term solutions to help individuals to take control of their health.
