India-based insurer Bajaj Allianz Life has announced the opening of its first representative office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The development is in line with the company’s strategy to deliver on its sizable community of non-resident Indian (NRI) customers based in Dubai and other countries in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
Other countries in the GCC include Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
The Dubai representative office will enable customer to walk-in and experience a “seamless customer service journey”, the company said.
With a client base of about 28.2 million individuals, Bajaj Allianz Life products include protection, investments, savings, and retirement.
Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance MD and CEO Tarun Chugh said: “GCC’s sizable NRI community is of pivotal importance to us, and we are glad to have had the opportunity to be present here through our new office.
“The company is geared to offer customers a seamless experience and ensure their life goals journey remain on track.
“I’m confident that we will continuously invest in this proposition to ensure we remain the preferred life insurer of our NRI customers based here.”
Headquartered in Pune, India, Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance launched in 2001 and is a partnership between Bajaj Finserv Limited, an Indian non-banking financial institution and Allianz SE.
The company has a distribution network of 511 branches and more than 125,000 agents.
