Barry Waring, the chairman of Raising The Profile for group risk trade body Grid has launched BW Consulting Limited, after leaving YuLife following six years with the business.

Waring (pictured) was with YuLife since September 2019. His roles included head of broker distribution and head of strategic partnerships.

His new consultancy will work across all aspects of the employee benefits ecosystem, supporting insurers, brokers, and third-party providers to improve distribution strategies, partnerships, and go-to-market execution.

Waring said: “I sit in the middle of insurers, brokers, and third-party providers. I’ve spent most of my career translating between what insurers want, what brokers actually need, and where new propositions struggle to land.

“This new chapter is really about helping businesses in that ecosystem sharpen go-to-market, distribution, and partnerships especially where things look good on paper but don’t quite convert in reality.”
