Winning Best Mental Health Advice Firm at the Health & Protection Awards was a first in more ways than one, according to Brett Hill, head of health and protection at Broadstone.
Speaking to Health & Protection, Hill (pictured) explained that winning the first award of last year’s event meant the night got off to a “fantastic start”.
“This was the first time Broadstone had submitted an entry to the awards, so to win on our first attempt was an amazing achievement by the team,” Hill continued.
“The response we received to our win was so positive, not just from our colleagues the next day but also from insurers and fellow intermediaries.”
Data-rich entry
Touching on why he thinks the judges recognised Broadstone, Hull pointed to a “very data-rich” entry.
“Our winning client solution had been delivered via our benefit platform so we were able to provide real insight into the engagement with, and uptake of, the solution by the client’s employees,” Hill explained.
“Since our win we’ve refreshed our platform design and further enriched the benefit options, and the number of our clients adopting the platform is growing year on year.”
Prioritising prevention and primary care
And looking ahead into this year, Hill revealed key priorities for the business and its clients centre around prevention and primary care.
“As public health services continue to struggle, investing in these areas will become increasingly important to those employers who want the competitive advantage that comes with a healthy workforce,” Hill concluded.
