The financial industry Blood Bank initiative, which is encouraging people in the sector to donate blood, is hosting its first Bloodstock party night with live music, dancing, food and drinks.
The Bloodstock event is part of the Summer of Blood campaign to help raise awareness around giving blood and encouraging those who can donate to register or book their next regular appointment.
The evening, which will include DJs from the industry and special guests, will be held at SAMA Bankside in London on 12 September.
The Blood Bank’s mission is to secure 30,000 donors from across financial services by the end of 2022 to give back to the NHS when it is most in need.
There is currently an unprecedented requirement for blood owing to high deferral rates due to the Covid vaccination programme – while operations and procedures that were postponed during the pandemic are recommencing.
Donating blood really does save lives.
This will be an evening filled with fun, laughter, music and dancing (finally) as the finance community comes together to bring attention to this fantastic initiative.
