Broadway Insurance has appointed Melissa Jayne Golder as senior health and wellbeing consultant.
Golder’s appointment reunites her with Broadway director of healthcare, Emma Wood, who she previously worked with at Reich Healthcare.
Golder was a senior account executive. She also previously worked at VitalityHealth and Bupa as a healthcare associate earlier in her career.
Speaking to Health & Protection this morning, Broadway CEO, Daniel Lloyd-John said Golder’s appointment comes as a result of growth within the firm’s group and individual health and wellbeing operation.
“Melissa comes from Reich where she spent a long time working under Emma Wood,” Lloyd-John continued.
“She is here to bolster the team and she’s going to be helping clients understand that health is wealth and make sure they have access to specialists and treatments that they need.
“Melissa is a specialist in the space for both SME customers and individuals who tend to be high net worth.
“What she does is bolster both our insurer relationships, but most importantly client service and client proposition.”
Lloyd-John added Wood was particularly keen on Golder’s hire due to her background on advising clients outside renewal.
“What that means is being there to advise and assist on applications and/or insurer pathways when they need to be called on,” Lloyd-John added.
“At the event of claim she handles that with an insurer.
“We’re different here in that clients don’t handle their own claims, because the value of a broker is not just from a purchasing perspective. So Melissa and her team within healthcare will hold the hands of the client at claim. It’s a really important space for us.”
