Bupa Health Clinics has partnered with health and wellbeing provider Westfield Health to create health and wellbeing spaces within corporate workplaces.
Bupa’s new and existing corporate customers can now create Westfield Health fitness and wellbeing spaces within their workplaces, ranging a full-equipped onsite gym, to small, integrated wellbeing areas that can be used for yoga, online classes or relaxation.
As part of the partnership, should a health concern, such as diabetes, be picked up within a clinical assessment, the Bupa team will refer into the onsite Westfield Health active space to encourage exercise to support management and recovery.
Nicola Green, commercial director for Bupa Health Clinics, said: “Clients tell us they want a holistic wellbeing package for their people. Along with healthcare services, employers want to support their people with early intervention for healthcare issues, particularly if they are at higher risk of developing a chronic condition.
“Having worked closely with Westfield Health for over 10 years, we’re pleased to be extending this partnership to workplace onsite fitness facilities.
“Exercise has a huge number of benefits both mentally and physically and can help prevent chronic conditions. This partnership provides a practical solution for businesses seeking to support employee health and wellbeing.”
Lee Grimes, client solutions director at Westfield Health, added: “We’re very proud to be partnering with Bupa Health Clinics to provide onsite active spaces to their business customers.
“Our teams work with each business to understand their needs, identify focus areas within their organisation and create the right space for their people.
“In some cases, this means we have an entire floor dedicated to a gym and in others it’s a smaller space for classes and meditation.
“We hope this partnership will support employees to take control of their health and wellbeing.”
