Bupa UK Insurance has permanently appointed Richard Norris as general manager for business specialist products, subject to regulatory approval.
Norris (pictured) has more than 20 years’ experience in the UK insurance sector comprising leadership roles at Bupa since 2011, and previous to this, senior client-facing roles at Axa PPP Healthcare.
He previously gained dental insurance experience as director of SME and specialist products and led the launch of Bupa Connect, a digital platform for intermediaries and clients.
He was appointed interim general manager for business specialist products in September 2022.
Norris will continue to report to Alex Perry, CEO for Bupa UK Insurance, and lead Bupa’s ‘Better for Business’ strategy.
Norris’ leadership team for business and specialist products includes Will Shaw, director of corporate, leading health and wellbeing for corporate clients and Iain McMillan, director of distribution, leading new business development and intermediary relationships.
