Canada Life has appointed Dan Crook to the role of managing director, group protection, reporting to UK CEO Lindsey Rix-Broom.
His appointment follows his tenure as interim managing director since February 2024.
Crook (pictured) has been with Canada Life for 23 years, first joining the business in 2001 as a customer service representative.
He held a variety of business development and sales roles across the organisation before taking the role of protection sales director in 2016.
In Nov 2022 Crook was appointed as a non executive director and in Oct 2023 was appointed chair of the Canada Life platform business.
In his new role Crook is responsible for developing and executing strategy, culture, growth and profit and loss management (P&L).
His goals are to ensure Canada Life provides relevant products that support employers and improves the physical, financial and mental wellbeing of their employees.
