Canada Life UK has appointed Rebecca Gladstone as head of public policy, a newly created role within the CEO’s office.
Gladstone joins group protection provider Canada Life UK from the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) where she was stakeholder and public affairs manager.
She previously worked at international business consultancy firm FTI Consulting as a director in their strategic communications practice, where she acted as a financial services specialist.
Her career in insurance began within the public affairs team at the Association of British Insurers (ABI) and she has also held a number of public policy roles within the health sector.
Lindsey Rix-Broom, CEO of Canada Life UK said: “I’m delighted Rebecca has joined our business at a time when our industry continues to go through significant change.
“With a proven track record and a wealth of experience gained from working within the regulatory framework and industry, her expertise will be key in helping to deliver against our strategic focus and ambitions.”
Gladstone said: “I’m really pleased to join Canada Life UK at such an exciting time for the business.
“Canada Life’s scale and drive to improve customer outcomes make it perfectly placed to play a greater role in helping to shape the issues affecting consumers as they plan for their futures, and I am looking forward to driving forward Canada Life UK’s public policy ambitions.”
