The Income Protection Task Force (IPTF) has announced that Matthew Chapman, The Protection Coach and Lewis Breach from St James Place will join its steering committee.
Effective from 1 January 2024, the pair join Shaun Ware from The Exeter, Rebecca Lowe from Aviva and Monica Garcia from Monica Garcia Consulting who started their two-year terms 12 months ago.
They succeed Setul Mehta and Naomi Greatorex who completed their two-year terms in December.
The steering group will work with the executive in an oversight role, contributing to IPTF plans and holding them to account against objectives.
Chapman said: “I am delighted and honoured to be joining the IPTF Steering Group.
“I have been an avid supporter of the IPTF for many years and am proud to be associated with the incredibly positive work they carry out within the financial services industry.
“To be able to be more actively involved in helping them achieve their mandate and to be able to help push IP to the top of the industry agenda is incredibly exciting to me.
“I can’t wait to share some of the exciting IPTF initiatives we have lined up for 2024.”
Breach said: “The work the IPTF has done since its inception has helped raise awareness to ensure many more individuals, families and businesses have the protection in place that they need.
“I am delighted to join the IPTF steering group and hope to contribute towards projects which will continue to build on the great progress made so far.”
Jo Miller, co-chairwoman at the IPTF, added: “The steering committee plays an important role in holding the executive to account and keeping us on track with our plans for the year ahead.
“We’re grateful to both Lewis and Matt for the time they are committing and for the contribution they will make to our success in the year ahead.”
