Cigna Europe has made two key hires as it expands its adviser-facing sales team.
Simon Parker has joined from Bupa Global to lead Cigna’s large corporate sales team for UK domestic and international business in the EU.
Andy Seale has re-joined the insurer after less than a year to lead its individual and corporate SME sales team.
Parker started his career at Cigna International in 2003, going on to become UK sales director in 2017 where he led the UK domestic and International sales team.
After almost 17 years at the insurer, Parker left in October 2020 to take on the role of head of sales and broker engagement at Bupa Global.
Seale’s previous roles over his 27 year career include establishing and running Bupa Global sales office in Dubai and leading Allianz’ global sales team.
He left Cigna in May 2021 after nearly three years to become chief commercial officer and LVL wellbeing, but is subsequently returning to Cigna after less than a year.
Commenting on the appointments, Arjan Toor, CEO of Cigna Europe, said: “Both Andy and Simon bring a wealth of knowledge, energy and leadership and are key additions in strengthening and growing the business.
“Both bring a diverse range of experience to our sales leadership team, including exceptional track records of achieving deep partnerships with clients and brokers.”
Seale (pictured left) said: “I am delighted to be joining Cigna Europe at this exciting time. Cigna’s focus on improving the health, wellbeing and peace of mind of the people they serve has never been more relevant and I look forward to supporting Arjan to position the organisation for continued success in the future.”
Parker (pictured right) added: “It’s a privilege to be joining the sales leadership team at Cigna Europe. I’m looking forward to working with the Cigna team to strengthen our partnership with clients and re-establishing connections with colleagues and partners old and new in the coming weeks and months.”
